those who haven't suffocated

they put on masks and scoff at the past
while building invisible fortresses
to pat themselves on the back

in bad times it's easy
getting plenty of sleep on
fluffy matresses of today

while ignoring the fire
they will tell you to burn
for asking where's the water

carry a dollar in your pocket
